SECRET HIDEOUT
The most coveted and difficult place to get into L.A. these days is the new San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood. The former clothing-optional hotel court, distinctly inspired by the Beverly Hills Hotel pink, green and banana leaf motif, has been reinvented to accommodate the glitterati who swarm there to stay, eat and drink. The strict no-photos policy means stickers are placed on your cell phone camera to avoid any temptation of taking photos of your favorite box office stars.

FILM FAVORITE
A film retrospective honoring Austinite and Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Richard Linklater will be hosted by the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He will be presenting, for the first time, the retrospective of all his films, and an exhibition reflecting the central theme running through his films. We are mighty proud of our fellow Texan being honored on this international level. November 30.
