Two-Part Fundraiser Supports Camp Aranzazu

THE SETTING: The day consisted of an all-day skeet shoot at the San Antonio Gun Club (catered by Smoke Shack) followed by the Bell Bash that evening at The Witte Museum. Three pop-up events at Los CazadoresBaker Tatum and Meadow boutique in San Antonio generously donated the proceeds to the cause.

THE STYLE: The bash gave new meaning to the term “with bells on”, as over 200 red bells swayed in the wind at varying heights across the entire entrance to The Witte Museum’s Mays Family Center. As guests passed under the canopy of Christmas bells, a Holiday Bells & Shells backdrop framed by two life-sized wooden nutcrackers provided a perfect place to commemorate the evening with photos.

From there, the fun continued as gala-goers walked through the doors into a Black Forest-themed feast for the eyes. Complete with an entire ballroom bathed in red up-lighting and accented with glistening snow-covered Bavarian rooftops at every turn. The event was planned and flawlessly executed by Billinda Wilkinson of Wilkinson Rhodes. Cuisine for the event was provided by Rosemary’s Catering.

THE PURPOSE: Event co-chairs Shannon and Jon Turner and Blake and Perry Finger hosted the first annual event that raised $150,000 in San Antonio benefitting Camp Aranzazu, a camp serving children and adults with special needs and chronic illnesses, located on Copano Bay in Rockport, Texas.
