You’re only as unstoppable as you believe you can be, so believe in yourself.  You got this.

–Lindsay E. Preston

What was the defining moment in your past that set you on the career path you ended up following?

When I was 28 years old, my outwardly “perfect” life came crashing down. I discovered my then partner (and father of my daughter) had been living a double life engaged to another woman. With a then 2-year-old on my hip, I picked up the pieces of my life and began to rebuild. I had done (mostly) everything “right” up until that point. I got “good” grades, I went to a “good” college, I obtained a “good” job, and I had what seemed like the ideal “good” partner. Although my life looked “good” on social media and to society’s standards, I didn’t ever feel like I had a “good” life at all. The break-up reflected what I felt internally for so many years. It was a wake-up call.

Although I was heartbroken, I decided to use the break-up as an opportunity to create what I wanted from life. Plus, now I had a little girl watching my every move.  I felt I had no choice than to go after what I wanted.  I needed to show her how to create the life I wanted for HER too. knew I wanted to create a deep fulfillment in my career. I knew I wanted to experience passionate yet authentic love. I knew wanted to feel happy beyond perfectly posed photos, a job accomplishment or checking off another stereotypical life box. The problem was….I had no idea how to get there. I tried counseling. I took different personality assessments.  I looked to Spirit to guide me.  It was all helping a little bit, but I wanted BIG change. Randomly, life coaching was presented to me as something that could help.  I cringed at the idea.  I thought life coaching lacked credibility and substance. However, despite my reservations, I researched the suggestion and found a style of coaching that changed my perspective.  I was nervous about signing up, but I’m so glad I did. What I discovered in life coaching changed my life.  I learned quickly and easily what was keeping me stuck and what I needed to do to create what I wanted. My personal life changed dramatically.

I was finally feeling the way I wanted to feel, so I could BE the person I wanted to be. Life coaching didn’t just change my personal life though. As I went through the coaching process, I realized it was everything and more I wanted in a career path. I had always been extremely passionate about psychology (so much so that I have a B.S. in Psychology from TCU).  After college, I pursued a career in human resources and dabbled with the idea of being a counselor as a later career. Instead, I left those professions behind and became a multi-certified life coach. Now, five years later, I’ve coached hundreds around the world on how to program their brain to become even more of the strong and powerful women they were meant to be. I currently have 5 successful online courses with a 100% client satisfaction rate and I have a highly ranked podcast called, “Become An Unstoppable Woman” that’s listened to by thousands every month. I also teach an onsite workshop called; “Strengths Soirees” that help women understand how to use their natural strengths to live their best lives. Coaching is what’s allowed me to live my dream life, and it’s a joy to give that gift to other women as well.

What makes you unique in your industry?

My business stands out from the rest due to my focus on science, intimacy, and challenging my clients for growth. The work I teach my clients is backed by neuroscience to work for the brain. Although there’s a spiritual element with the work I do (if that’s your thing), all the strategies and tools I teach allow them to understand how to make their brains work FOR them vs. its natural instinct to work AGAINST them.

I’m also there for my clients every step of the way to give them a custom and intimate experience.  Although the online course industry is booming and growing by the second, my courses aren’t given as a one size fits all approach.  Instead, I’m taking the content and helping my clients apply it within their unique situations and goals.

Lastly, in my business, I strive to make the coaching experience the best investment in someone’s life.  To do so, I’m challenging my clients throughout the process to grow in ways they never thought was possible.  While that may scare some to hear that, it’s a very seamless growth process when you have me on your side.

What is one way you hope to impact your community in the future, either personally or professionally?

I’m passionate about helping women grow.  In my coaching practice, I’m helping women who have a good life, make it great.  In my community, I’m helping by supporting women who need resources financially to make it through a tough season or to get supplies they need most.  In the future, I strive to give much of my time and resources to efforts like “The Pad Project,” an organization that helps women gain access to sanitation products, so their education doesn’t stop because of the onset of their period.

If you could sit down with any woman in the world–either from history or who is currently living–who would that be and what would you discuss with her?

Without a doubt, I would want a chat with Lucille Ball.  As a child, I was drawn to her on “I Love Lucy” as I would watch the show for hours on end.  I then became fascinated with her life and story so much so that in the 6th grade, I died my hair red to embody her for a school project. Now as a woman who feels very much like she’s breaking societal stereotypes by outwardly empowering women and being a part of an industry that’s not highly recognized yet, I’d love to ask Lucy how she felt when she broke industry standards in Hollywood, especially as a woman.
