THE SETTING: The Corinthian in Houston was the setting for one of the city’s most anticipated annual fall galas. Over 600 of the area’s most notable community leaders, sociables, and philanthropists turned out for the 31st annual Children’s Museum Houston’s gala. The Studio 54 theme took this always-fun event to the next level with dazzling fashion, touching tributes, and seven-figure fundraising.
THE STYLE: The Black Tie At The Disco-themed attire brought a mix of sequins and ruffled shirts with more traditional black tie fare. Patrons felt the night’s high energy from the moment they ascended the red-carpet staircase to the upper level for the VIP cocktail reception. As guests sipped on their favorite spirits, they mingled and perused one of Texas’ best silent auctions, which featured a litany of luxury experience packages.
Guests then gathered for the program on the main floor, which captivated the crowd with sky-high sequin drapes placed strategically by the legendary Corinthian Columns that perfectly paid homage to the legendary New York club. As revelers dined on multi-course meals courtesy of Jackson & Company, they were treated to words from event leaders and a spirited live auction. The night was capped off with an epic after party where partygoers spotted Liza Minelli and Andy Warhol impersonators on the dance floor as they cut a rug to the tunes of Drywater Band.
THE PURPOSE: The gala, co-chaired by Katie and Scott Arnoldy and Holly and Steve Radom, raised $1.1 million for Children’s Museum Houston. Proceeds from the event will benefit museum programs and education initiatives. The 2024 gala, The Noir Ball, will be held on October 26, 2024. For more information, visit CMHouston.org.events.
