THE SETTING: The Omni Barton Creek was the recent setting for the second annual FORE Kids ATX. Hosted by the Angela and Sergio Garcia Foundation, this event immediately became one of the Capital City’s most anticipated fall social events, drawing several hundred of the city’s most notable community leaders, public figures, sociables, and philanthropists for two days of fun and fundraising.
THE STYLE: The unique and inventive Tropical Holiday Cocktail attire theme created a majestic palette of white ensembles mixed with vibrant colors, linen, and velvet, creating a fun environment for all attendees. The festivities began in the foyer outside of the venue’s ballroom for cocktail hour as revelers posed for images with a resort-chic Santa and his elves while mingling and spreading infectious holiday cheer to others.
The action then moved to the ballroom for the main program. As guests dined on delectable multi-course meals, they were treated to words from event leaders and a series of touching video tributes. Next, T.V. host personality Chris Harrison moderated a chat that featured Sergio Garcia, David Feherty, Bryson DeChambeau, and Talor Gooch, followed by a spirited live auction and Fund-A-Need. The night was capped off with live music, where the partygoers danced the night away to the tunes of country singer Breland.
THE PURPOSE: The event, hosted by Angela and Sergio Garcia, raised over $2 million for the Angela and Sergio Garcia Foundation. Proceeds raised from the event will benefit four nonprofits in the Austin community that are near and dear to the Garcia’s hearts: Dell Children’s Foundation, Foster Village, The Muny Conservancy, and The Ugli Foundation. The 2024 FORE Kids ATX will be held November 1-2, 2024. For more information, visit ForeKidsATX.org.
